Description

Outwest Fest is back for the 2026 edition!

After launching in 2024 and going from strength to strength, we’re returning this May for another unforgettable weekend. From May 15–17, we’ll head out across the Dingle Peninsula for a few days of hikes, trail runs, great food, and plenty of craic.

We’re incredibly lucky to call the Dingle Peninsula home. It’s where the idea for Outwest was born and where it came to life. There’s nothing we love more than bringing people together to experience the beauty and the wildness of this place.

Join us outdoors from May 15–17. Tickets will sell out, so be quick!

Event Info & FAQs
What’s the agenda for the weekend?
Outwest Fest kicks off on Friday evening and wraps up Sunday lunchtime. Friday will ease us in with light hikes and trail runs. Saturday is the big one, with a full day hike (plus an optional shorter route). Sunday is slower paced, with options for recovery and a gentle run. And of course… Saturday night we’ll have our Tales from the Trails panel chat, followed by an after party.

Will we hike Mount Brandon?
For the past two years, we’ve hiked Brandon at Outwest Fest. This year, we’re switching things up and have a very exciting new route planned. More info to come! (For anyone keen to take on Brandon, there’ll be spare time on Sunday if you’d like to see it before heading home.)

What’s included in the tickets?
Tickets include guided hikes, recovery sessions, food on Saturday, snacks, buses to and from some hikes, epic goodie bags, and Outwest merch. Please note: Tickets don’t include accommodation.

Do you have recommendations for places to stay?
Yes! We’ll be sharing accommodation recommendations with all ticket holders, along with more tips for staying on the Peninsula. However if you would like to go ahead and check out available accommodation in the to get booked in as soon as you would like. Dingle is also very van-friendly, so if you have your own camper, that's a great option too!

Can I come solo?
Absolutely. If you’re thinking of coming on your own, please don’t be shy. Loads of people come solo to Outwest Fest, and it’s one of our favourite parts of the weekend. We put a lot of thought into mixing the group from the start, so you’ll quickly find your people. Everyone is sound, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and you’ll never feel like the odd one out.

Do you need to be fit or a good hiker?
Accessibility is something we’re really mindful of. The outdoors is for everyone, and there will be a range of options, paces, and optional routes to suit different abilities.
That said, we do recommend getting a bit of hiking done beforehand so you’re comfortable on the day, and making sure you’ve the right gear, like boots and layers.
