Our Community

At Outwest, community isn’t just a word - it’s the core of who we are.

At Outwest, we believe that adventure is for everyone. And through our community, we hope to show that the outdoors is a place where anyone can find joy, challenge themselves, and feel truly alive. This shared passion for nature, exploration, and each other is what makes the Outwest community so unique. It’s a bond that goes beyond clothing or events—it’s a way of life, and we’re proud to be on this journey together.

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to build something more than just an outdoor apparel brand. We envisioned a space where like-minded adventurers could come together, share their passion for the outdoors, and inspire each other to embrace every journey. The Outwest community is made up of people who see the beauty in nature’s challenges, who thrive on fresh air, open spaces, and the spirit of exploration.

We are proud to be part of a community that spans from Queenstown New Zealand to Boulder Colorado, from Dunfanaghy Co.Donegal to Cape Clear Island, Co.Cork.

Building Our Community

Events

While social media keeps us connected, nothing compares to in-person interactions.

Sharing experiences with nature lovers is truly special. That’s why we launched the Outwest Outdoor Club in April 2023, uniting adventurers for hikes, sea swims, run clubs, and beach clean-ups across the Dingle Peninsula and Ireland.

Each event fosters connection and appreciation for the beauty around us. Once a year, we gather for Outwest Fest on the Dingle Peninsula - a weekend of outdoor adventures, challenges, and meaningful connections.

We’d love for you to join us!

New Wave Adventure Therapy

Our focus when choosing charity partners is making a meaningful impact locally, where we can see the results firsthand. That’s why on March 30, 2024, we partnered with New Wave Adventure Therapy.

New Wave Wild Project takes clinical therapy outdoors, blending therapy with adventure activities in blue and green spaces. Founded by Philip and Jasmin Stallard, this not-for-profit aims to make evidence-based therapy accessible. Their approach includes CBT, social work, and experiential learning. Sessions help young people develop mental health and self-care skills. Since 2018, they’ve focused on making creative therapy accessible to those with complex issues.

After meeting Jasmin and Philip, we created the Outwest Bursary to fund adventure therapy sessions for young adults in need. The bursary is funded through sales of our Create a Wave of Change T-shirts and in-store events. Together, we’re ensuring more young people access support through the healing power of the outdoors.

Follow our progress through our Live Impact Report to see the difference this partnership is making.

Ambassadors

Our Outwest Ambassadors are people who embody Outwest and what we stand for. They are passionate about the outdoors, do incredible things in their local communities, and inspire others to embrace adventure. They fully embrace the spirit of exploration and share our commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and the people around them.

More than just adventurers, our Ambassadors are an essential part of our journey. They put our apparel through its paces in all conditions, offering invaluable insights on sizing, durability, and performance. Their feedback helps us create products that truly meet the needs of our community, ensuring every piece can withstand the challenges of the outdoors.
