We Are A Certified B Corp
We are delighted to announce that we are now a Certified B Corporation, making us the first Kerry founded brand - and second apparel brand in Ireland - to have received this prestigious title. As a B Corp, we join a global community of businesses that meet the highest standards of social and environmental impact and lead a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
As you might know, OUTWEST Clothing is a sustainable apparel brand established in April 2022 by myself and Shane. Based in Dingle, we have a great connection and love for the outdoors, with a firm belief that the Irish weather shouldn’t impede adventure. With this passion and knowledge we went about designing and creating our own range of sustainable modern outdoor wear for a growing community of followers and adventurers.
OUTWEST's aim is to ensure there are no limits to people’s outdoor life and our apparel is designed with this in mind. Our brand works with premium, trusted, suppliers who use only the highest quality and most sustainable materials where possible. Since their inception, OUTWEST has only worked with suppliers who share our values of the protection of the planet and their worker's rights.
B Corp recognises companies that use business as a force for good, by meeting high ethical and environmental standards and positively impacting workers, communities, customers, and the planet. Following a stringent assessment process, OUTWEST joins more than 30 other certified B Corporations in Ireland across a variety of industries.
B Corp Certification requires a holistic review of a business’s social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. It is based on a vision of creating a community of companies committed to redefining success in business. The assessment measures a business’s ongoing impact on its workers, communities and suppliers, customers, governance and the environment. As part of its B Corp Certification, Outwest's key purpose is to create positive social and environmental impact, through the products we offer, the treatment of our employees, customers, suppliers and partners, the marketing of our products and brand, and our engagement with the broader community.
